SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Cost Accountant to be located in Cleburne, TX. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for various cost accounting and analysis functions in this plant. This person will be a high potential, high impact member of the management team within a continuous process improvement environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure financial controls and routines are followed in manufacturing facility

Complete monthly closing process to accurately reflect business performance

Complete necessary financial and management reporting requirements to communicate results, identify key issues, and drive continuous improvement

Complete monthly forecasts to accurately reflect business direction

Complete monthly variance analysis to understand key cost drivers in plant and drive improvements with support of a cross-functional team

Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts monthly

Develop and maintain standard costs

Preparation of annual budgets

Reconcile interplant shipments

Reconcile payroll withholding accounts

Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

2-5 Years experience in manufacturing cost accounting

Proven leadership skills, self-motivated / able to work in an unstructured environment

Excellent analytical skills, especially utilizing PC based systems

Desire and potential to advance into increasingly more responsible roles, able to relocate

Relentless pursuit of operational and professional excellence

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced degree and certifications (CPA, etc)

Six Sigma Training and project experience
