Cost Accounting Manager in East Bay, large regional, dynamic, fast-paced, growing company

East Bay company is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to fill an immediate need.  This company is a medium-sized regional company who has seen growth over the previous 4 years.  This steady growth has allowed the expansion of their Accounting and Finance functions.  This role has opened up due to the promotion of the previous Cost Accounting Manager to Finance Director.  This has historically been a position that allows for promotion into a number of different positions?including Finance Director, Corporate Accounting Manager, Director of FP&A, Controller, and Treasury Director (to name a few).  This is a very stable company with a reputation for being one of the best companies to work for in California.  Compensation is very competitive and employees receive a minimal 5% cost of living increase every year (in addition to standard bonuses and pay raises).  This is a great opportunity for the right candidate.

 

Responsibilities include:

-  Product Costing

-  Inventory Control and evaluation

-  Budget preparation

-  Forecasting

-  Variance Analysis

-  Fixed Assets

-  Analysis on Target profit margin compared to actual

-  Train and manage staff of Cost Accountants

-  Reporting on overhead and labor

 

Requirements:

-  7+ years relevant cost accounting experience

-  2+ years relevant cost accounting managerial experience

-  Manufacturing background

-  Familiarity with non-standardized contracts

-  CPA and/or MBA
