Cost Accounting Supervisor

Duties will include:  manage two cost accountants and ensure accurate preparation of bills of materials and standard cost.  Directs the cost accounting monthly close which includes journal entries, reports, account reconciliations, and analysis and explanation of results.  Manages preparation of cost estimates for new products, formulation changes, cost reductions and comparative analysis.  Assists Controller in leading the annual budget process.  Preferred candidate will have a BS degree in Accounting or Finance.  Previous accounting experience (2+ yrs.) in a plant environment preferred. Knowledge of accounting principles and experience in cost accounting is required.  Strong systems skills are required and experience with BPCS or similar accounting system is preferred.  This individual must work well under limited supervision and be an effective communicator and team player.
