COST CONSULTANT (Tallahassee, FL)
The Financial Services Division seeks qualified individuals to fill Consultant positions in the above location.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Supporting projects/initiatives by preparing indirect cost/or full cost allocation plans and/or other types of studies for small to mid-sized government agencies and quasi-governmental agencies; and assisting with indirect cost allocation proposals and plans for large or complex governmental agencies. Producing project deliverables that meet and exceed performance expectations including scope of work requirements, financial objectives (revenue and profit goals), and implementation timeframes. Gathering necessary client financial information (such as expenditure reports, revenue reports, billing invoices, budgets, timesheets, work orders, fixed asset reports, depreciation reports, contracts, general ledgers, and general office correspondence), analyzing accounts, documenting allocation bases, and transferring pertinent information into MAXIMUS software. Assisting in studies and surveys by obtaining and analyzing data and recommending solutions based upon knowledge, theory, principles, technology, or specialization. Participating in client meetings; developing trust, credibility, and strong client relationships; and seeking opportunities to add value above and beyond competitors. Achieving and/or exceeding client satisfaction metrics that will increase satisfaction annually. Maintaining a professional and problem solving approach in all dealings with clients. Managing the activities of projects in accordance with MAXIMUS established polices and procedures. Assisting in the identification of sales or marketing opportunities and participating in the proposal development process when requested. Attending Division and Corporate meetings as requested and required. Performing other duties as may be assigned by management.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field (Accounting degree preferred); minimum of two years of experience in management or accounting in a governmental setting, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities; excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to meet travel requirements, perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously; and ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
