Cost Control Analyst Assistant - Tier I Automotive Supplier

An opportunity like this doesn't come along every day! We have a Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry in Southern Nashville, TN, looking for an assertive, self-motivated Cost Analyst Assistant to help manage manufacturing costs.





As Cost Analyst Assistant, you will work as part of the Cost Control Department and have a key role in analyzing, restructuring, developing and maintaining manufacturing standard costing of mass production items. Your tools will include an AS400 system and MAPICS software.

 

This is a good opportunity with a solid company. While experience in cost analysis will prove helpful, we welcome detail-oriented candidates with analytical talents who have what it takes to learn cost accounting. As success in this position involves a substantial learning curve, the company needs someone who is willing and able to make a long-term commitment to the job.

 

The company will support up to $1000 of relocation costs.  Benefits include paid employee medical/dental/life/AD&D benefits, 401(K) savings & long/short-term disability.  A bonus of one month of the annual salary may be paid depending on performance.




Responsibilities

1. Maintain and update bills of materials.

2. Participate in restructuring, developing and maintaining the cost accounting system.

3. Assist in monitoring, analyzing and maintaining the accuracy of manufacturing standard costing in material, equipment, labor and fixed assets etc.

4. Support implementation of problem-solving and improvement practices in manufacturing standard costing.

5. Work with plant and engineering personnel to investigate cost issues.

 Qualifications

? Experience as a Cost Accountant with Standard Cost in a manufacturing environment.

? Experience with a high volume standard cost environment.

? Experience using AS400 with MAPICS software.

? Excellent MS Excel skills.

? Tier One Auto manufacturing experience (plastic processing).

? Working knowledge of JIT system (lean manufacturing).

? Proven communication skills in verbal and written in English.
