Credit Analyst II

Currently we have an opening for a Credit Analyst II at the Panasonic office in Elgin, IL.

Overview:
- Handle the reviewing of information necessary to completely evaluate a customer?s credit worthiness and credit line limitation.
- Assigned to sensitive accounts, responsible for complex credit problems.
- May be responsible for maintaining detailed reporting, investigation and analysis on credit items and customer master.
- Supports account reconciliation and administration efforts with adherence to corporate credit policy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analysis and Investigation
- Perform financial statement analysis on information provided by new accounts and existing customers to aid in the decision making process for credit line determination.
- Analyzes credit information which includes complete financial analysis with comments and recommendations. May be required to contact the customer directly for financial information, bank references, trade references and Dun & Bradstreet reports for information supporting credit line decisions.
- Review new account applications and determine/recommend credit lines within authority level, review sales requirements for new/existing accounts with credit operations.
- Monitoring of existing accounts based on credit rank and expiration date of credit line, file maintenance.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends as to how they relate to your account base.

Customer Master Process
- Ensure proper steps are completed with new account set up and revisions as it relates to customer master.
- Reduce the amount of duplicated account numbers wherever possible.
- Review linking issues and terms inconsistency.
- Daily review of "Customer Master Changes" report and timely action where applicable.

Investigation:
- Ensure proper steps are completed with new account set up and revisions as it relates to customer master.

Other:
- Must be proactive with the front line and collaborative with the FSO team to ensure quality support of management.
- Must participate in resolving problems and improve processes across functional lines.
- Take a professional interest in helping the FSO team achieve operational excellence; be communicative and responsive and work together to improve service.
- Participate in all facets of training and development including job rotation, an essential part of the FSO development plan, which not only adds value to each individual?s career path, but the company?s plan for employee development, as well.
- Insures full compliance with MEI and PNA policies, internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Insures protection of company assets in all areas through front line knowledge and experience.

Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree in a business/financial area or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2 - 4 years credit experience or similar environment.
- Working knowledge of Windows, SAP and other pertinent software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent oral/written/communications and negotiation skills are required.
- Must be able to multi-task, must be organized and detailed oriented.
- Travel as required.
