Credit/Collection Specialist

EXCEL GARDEN PRODUCTS is searching for a Credit and Collection Specialist.  You will be responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable and collections of assigned accounts including research of misapplied payments,  reconciling customer accounts, past due reporting and  making routine collection calls to our customers.  Individual must have excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities.  Individual will perform tasks including, but not limited to: researching and resolving account discrepancies, research and dispute customer charge backs, review of aging report, keeping accurate notes in system related to customer calls.

 

 Skills/Requirements:

Knowledge, understanding, and hands on experience of general accounting principles and collection process.

Negotiation skills to obtain appropriate and timely payments from daily collection calls

Provide 100% customer service.  Provide customers with what they require to pay invoices. 

Communicate findings and potential issues to appropriate persons within company when necessary to resolve issues.

Problem solving abilities

 Excellent communicational skills

Ability to multi-task

Detail oriented with excellent organization skills.

Ability to work with little supervision.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Education: high school diploma with some college preferred

Must have at least 3 years of experience
