Credit Risk Analyst

We are currently seeking an experienced risk analysis professional to research, understand and make credit recommendations to maximize INVISTA's risk-adjusted profitability.

 

Specific duties of this role will include:

 Significant customer credit analyses/reviews for the ultimate purpose of determining credit limits for new and existing customers and approving credit limits to a designated dollar amount. Reviews include financial statement analysis, contacting trade & bank references, and utilizing third party credit reporting information (analyst reports, S&P, Moody's, etc).Developing models and preparing reports, where necessary, to help develop points of view and different case sensitivities. Customer visits to assist in evaluating credit quality may also be necessary. Working with business team (salespeople, analysts, etc.) to understand customer economics, and incentives for INVISTA and the customer. Working with credit teams in Latin American, Europe and Asia with export credit transactions and in support of their credit risk analyses on export and local customers.  Understanding and ensuring compliance with established credit standards, policies, and procedures and monitoring credit exposures against approved dollar amounts. Working to improve company's working capital position.

 

Your skills and background should include:

2+ years finance / accounting at a large company environment. Financial skill set should include risk analysis experience including counter party research in a non-secured lending environment and advanced excel capability. This is a non-traditional credit role, focused on risk assessment and analysis. Knowledge of relevant accounting and financial reporting (SEC/US GAAP) matters  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of an organization  Flexibility to handle several tasks / demands simultaneously Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or international business. CPA, CFA and/or MBA a plus. Previous or current experience in credit field a plus. Advanced level knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of SAP and Access would be helpful.
