Data Management, Sr Associate-CAAT

Job Description -- Individuals will be responsible for various audit support engagements. These responsibilities will include:

?Basic understanding of accounting/auditing concepts
?Understanding client general ledger systems
?Requesting data for specific tests to be performed
?Validating data format
?Verifying control totals against general ledger
?Writing scripts to meet objectives defined by the audit teams

Areas of audit support will focus on the following:

?SAS 99 (Fraud Analysis)
?Accounts Receivable Analysis
?Liquidating Accounts Receivable
?Accounts Payable Analysis
?Search for Unrecorded Liabilities
?Fixed Asset Analysis
?Inventory Analysis

The Sr. Associate will be responsible for data analysis on various platforms, performing coding, documentation and testing, and assisting in the management of projects from pre-sales and initial scoping through final delivery and sign-off. Must understand major business cycles (purchases, sales, etc.) to be able to design appropriate data analysis tests in order to articulate results to the client.

The Data Management Group builds data accumulation, analysis and reporting engines that facilitate decision making processes within financial system audits, litigation support, mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, corporate re-organizations, and other types of data intensive evaluation projects. Data Management identifies critical data supporting business process and then performs assessments to determine the reliability of the information as well as any data gaps. After the assessment process, a data cleansing plan is developed and executed. Next a data management strategy is created to sustain data quality. (Data Quality)

The team assists clients in the management of data conversions to preserve information integrity and maximize value of legacy data within new ERP or Data Warehouse environments. (Data Transformation)

The group also creates stand-alone databases and bolt-on analytical environments; which provide a tool to monitor key business performance metrics and assess internal/external business intelligence and perform system reconciliations. (Tactical Development)

A BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or highly related Business major is required.

Job Requirement Essential

Candidates should possess accounting and/or auditing experience in the manufacturing or retail industries. Candidates should also have the desire to learn programming skills which will be used to code tests defined by the audit team. Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with the audit team to analyze data results and create ad-hoc reports upon request. 3+ years exp. required. In addition the Sr. Associate will research problems/issues and develop effective solutions.

Knowledge of ACL, Monarch, and Access a plus. Must be able to resolve data logic issues and modify data analysis techniques as appropriate.
