Deputy Project Manager

The Kentucky Payment Center has a current opening for a Deputy Project Manager based in Lexington, Kentucky.  This senior position is responsible for daily operations, contract compliance, and the financial results of the project.  The operation employs a staff of approximately 35 full and part time employees working 6 days, Monday-Saturday, a week.

 

Responsibilities ? the Deputy Project Manager is responsible for all facets of the Kentucky Payment Center operation including the following:

? Personnel ? hiring, evaluation, termination, employee development, training, management and performance improvement.  Implementing and following all company, state, and federal requirements related to personnel issues.

? Contract Compliance ? ensuring that the project always meets the requirements as outlined in the contract with the State of Kentucky.  Maintenance of a positive stable working relationship with the client.

? Operational Performance ? development and tracking of the operational performance of the project.  Ensuring that the operation consistently meets or exceeds target goals related to processing efficiency and accuracy.

? Financial Performance ? with direction from the Project Manager, will develop and track the financial performance of the project.  Will ensure that the project consistently meets or exceeds budget goals for revenue, expenses, and profit margin.

? Customer Meetings ? Prepare to chair customer operations and technical meetings.

? EFT Participation ? work with employers throughout the State to increase the number of employers submitting child support payments through Electronic Funds Transfer.

? Acting Project Manager in Manager?s absence.

? Other duties as assigned.

Experience ? the Deputy Project Manager is a senior level position in which an individual must be able to independently manage all facets of a financial operation.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in the following areas:

? Financial Operations ? understanding of financial operations including accounting controls, security, and reconciliation.

? Personnel Management ? all aspects of project staffing including hiring, termination, evaluation, and performance improvement.

? Payment Processing and payment research.

? Providing excellent internal and external customer service.

? Role model of professionalism.

? Up to date management skills and understanding of employee motivation.

? World-class customer handling skills and ability to drive team performance in this area.

? Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

? Superb time management skills. 

? Child Support ? experience working in the Child Support field would be extremely desirable.
