MANAGEMENT and REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Single-Family Marketing & Sales Support Infrastructure Director leads a team of business analysts, marketing communications professionals, and project managers, S/he reports to the Vice President of Single Family Marketing & Customer Education and provides vision and direction to the team, ensuring that activities are in alignment with corporate and Single-Family objectives.

 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director is responsible for working with the VP of Single Family Marketing in leading and managing an effective marketing and customer education function for Single-Family by providing clear and compelling communication and tactical direction to the business unit, ensuring alignment with corporate business strategy and corporate culture initiatives.  In particular:

? Implement, support and evolve an enterprise-wide platform for conducting marketing campaigns, sales force communications, and marketing resource management comprising CRM (Siebel), knowledge management (SharePoint), Marketing Resource & Process Mgmt (Aprimo), and B2B web technologies (eFannieMae.com, CVENT)

? Leverage this integrated environment to:



  -  conduct marketing campaigns and sales force communications

  -  collect opportunities for innovation and improvement from customer account teams and other support functions

  -  facilitate processing, tracking and reporting of information to appropriate decision-makers and stakeholders 

  -  support corporate focus on operational and risk discipline and compliance 

. Represent the vision, strategy and project plans to internal and external stakeholders and senior management and work collaboratively with various levels across the company to promote collaboration and alignment, while integrating the team’s objectives and performance with broader company objectives.

? Develop a systematic approach to gaining and maintaining knowledge of markets, real estate finance, emerging trends and activities

? Develop and maintain knowledge of customers, competition, and industry

? Develop innovative approaches to resolve problems; develop optimal solutions and make timely, sound decisions, while anticipating corporate impact of decisions

? Represent Fannie Mae interests through presentations for and/or membership in related trade associations and conduct media interviews as needed.

? Escalate conflicts, issues or new information that puts the strategic plan at risk to senior management with a recommendation for action

? Identify opportunities to partner with internal business units and external vendors, and oversee the formation of reciprocal relationships which further corporate and Single-Family objectives

? Collaborate with team and peers to accurately forecast resources needed for execution of team initiatives

? Support and contribute to other initiatives as appropriate to further corporate and Single-Family objectives

? Scan the environment to keep abreast of industry trends and best practices

 

People Management:

As a manager of people, the Director will lead a team of Senior Managers and marketing professionals.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

? A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field.

? A minimum of seven to ten years experience.

?   Extensive knowledge regarding enterprise-wide platforms for conducting marketing campaigns, sales force

  communications, and marketing resource management comprising CRM (Siebel), knowledge managemen(SharePoint), Marketing Resource & Process Mgmt (Aprimo), and B2B web technologies (eFannieMae.com, CVENT).

? Real estate/finance experience is required; including exposure to housing financing products and services.  An understanding of the mortgage finance industry, real estate securitization, and capital markets is also required.

? Demonstrated leadership with evidence of increasing management responsibility throughout career history of marketing sophisticated financial products and services.

? Excellent consultative and partnering skills.

? Extensive experience in managing, developing, and motivating a professional organization.

? Knowledge of Fannie Mae products and programs desired, but not essential.

? Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, staff, customers, and industry.

? Demonstrated commitment to innovation and change with the willingness to take the initiative to accomplish change.

? Demonstrated ability to develop and execute solutions to complex issues and transactions.

This position requires the ability to manage initiatives to aggressive timeframes to ensure that deadlines are met.  The ideal candidate is effective in influencing others regarding important issues while maintaining effective relationships.  This is a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, so flexibility, innovation, and team focus are essential qualities for success.
