Director, Accounting (Lease & Asset Management)

As Director, Accounting you will be responsible monitoring and reviewing monthly close activities to include the review of financial data for completeness of accruals and appropriate accounting treatment.  You will work closely reviewing monthly close activities for the stores and company overhead areas to ensure changes in our business are appropriately accounted for and budgeted appropriately.  You will work closely with our Financial Planning and Analysis team in developing store budgets.  You will also be responsible for the accounting for our subsidiaries which have remote accounting functions and provide support to our business development team with acquisitions and divestiture's. 

 

Our Director will be responsible for all aspects of lease accounting to include revising new leases for appropriate accounting treatment and maintenance of the asset retirement obligation in accordance with FIN 47.  You will also be leading our Asset Management team with all aspects of accounting for property, plant and equipment, evaluating assets for capitalization, useful life, etc.  This team also is responsible for project accounting and development of our capital budget and forecast. 

 

To be successful in this role, you should have the following preferred education and/or experience: 
BS degree in accounting
CPA
Public Accounting experience.
