POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a team whose mission is to provide Fannie Mae’s partners with superior market execution and liquidity while facilitating the acquisition of mortgage product to the retained portfolio and through off-balance sheet transactions. Specifically, manage a five person team that is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with lenders, providing secondary market execution expertise, while soliciting, marketing, and acquiring products. This position will be high profile because of the account responsibility, the requirement to build solid relationships with lenders, the necessity for open lines of communication with Single-Family Business, the coordination of Portfolio purchase decisions with the Traders, maximizing execution, synchronizing sales efforts with the other Sales Team, market early funding products, and the need to ensure all of the team’s activity is in compliance with Fannie Mae’s policy and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Attain business goals associated with volume, profitability, and counter-party risk management.
Maintain positive working relationships with Single-Family Business, Locations, Middle Office, Operations, and Product/Business development.
Proactively manage business opportunities and relationships with mortgage banking customers.
Provide technical knowledge and strategic direction on MBS and whole loan products, pricing, and structure. Administer all policy and procedures related to people management.
Lead by example in demonstrating SEAM and embracing a “one Fannie Mae” concept.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant should have a college degree with a major in business administration, economics, or related field of study.
Seven or more years with increasing responsibility in the mortgage finance industry.
Full knowledge of the secondary market and related functions is essential.
Team leadership, staff management, and customer relationship management experience required.
Expert understanding of financial tools and concepts is necessary.
