Director, Financial Operations

SummaryManage financial and contract operations of Research and Pharma markets; provide overall financial leadership and serve as key advisor to market unit General Manager and other unit Directors. Description? Analyze financial performance for Research and Pharma markets, relevant operating departments, customer accounts and process models.
? Oversee monthly preparation of balanced scorecard and analyze market unit(s) performance against key financial and operating metrics.
? Coordinate and facilitate periodic, ongoing training of key operating personnel in methods of obtaining, understanding and utilizing financial information for improved decision-making.
? Manage revenue, profitability and capital spending forecasting process for Research and Pharma markets to facilitative effective decision-making around future investment, resource utilization and corporate-level expectation setting.
? Participate in strategic planning and other senior-level management team activities. Direct and coordinate annual financial planning and budgeting process for r Research and Pharma markets.
? Manage Research and Pharma markets customer contract process within the context of established corporate guidelines.
? Serve as "Pricing Czar" for Research and Pharma markets, with responsibility for managing the pricing development and approval process, assisting in the development of product and service pricing models.
Qualifications? Degree in business administration with accounting and/or finance emphasis.
? Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant or equivalent work experience preferred.
? Minimum of ten years accounting and financial operations experience.
? Strong leadership and communication skills.
? Ability to interact effectively and persuasively with senior management.
? Note that this position requires a specialized knowledge in order to handle detailed accounting requirements for federal government contracts. Training will be provided; however, candidate needs to demonstrate aptitude through prior work projects.
