Director, Internal Audit - North America

Fedders Corporation of Liberty Corner, NJ provides air conditioning and other air treatment products for commercial and residential applications to markets worldwide.? Product lines include residential central air conditioning systems including condensing units, air handlers, gas furnaces, air cleaners and humidifiers, as well as rooftop, vertical and horizontal packaged air conditioners and heat pumps for commercial, residential and telecommunications applications and also,k appliance air treatment products.

An opening currently exists for a Director, Internal Audit- North America.? Overall responsibilities include developing and implementing Internal Audit programs designed to provide assurance to the Audit Committee and Executive Management, that within economic limitations:? 1.? the internal control environment supports financial reporting (as required under SOX 404) and operations objectives, and 2.? policies and standards of ethical business conduct are enforced and support high overall corporate integrity.

Specific responsibilities include: designing and implementing an annual audit plan to support overall objectives above and work to develop and implement long range plans/methods to increase the efficiency and reduce the cost of the independent audit of the Company's financial statements; manage and guide Internal Audit staff to ensure performance in accordance with plans and guidelines; developing and maintaining professional capabilities of the staff through on-the-job training, staff meetings and seminars; direct and supervise work of the Audit Staff; follow up on recommendations to determine whether management has implemented recommended corrective action; report to the Audit Committee bimonthly on planned and actual audit coverage and provide written reports as requested; coordinate with Director of SOX 404, for testing requirements.

The candidate we seek will have 7-10 years of related experience as outlined above, as well as a BS in Accounting (CPA preferred).
