Director of Accounting for East Coast

A leading biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Director of Accounting for their East Coast Region.  The firm recently went public and is performing very well in the market.  This opportunity has opened up do to reorganization of the accounting department directly relating to the IPO and their intense growth.  As the Director of Accounting you will report directly to the corporate controller and be responsible for the accounting for the east coast.  There are roughly 6 people that comprise the accounting department.  A great opportunity for growth!!

 

Responsibilities:

 

?  Review the monthly and annual close of the books.

?  Review and analysis internal financial reporting.

?  Review and write footnotes for the Ks and Qs.

?  Create and maintain formal Budget process.

?  Monthly variance analysis.

?  All cashflow analysis and projections.

?  Manage the accounting department.

 

Requirements:

 

?  Bachelors in Accounting.

?  CPA required and MBA preferred

?  IPO experience preferred.

?  5 plus years of experience.
