Director of Revenue

My client is a global company with offices throughout the US, as well as the UK, the Netherlands, Japan, China and Korea. Among their customers are world leading financial institutions, manufacturing organizations, research networks, media companies, search engines, telecommunication carriers and supercomputer clusters.

?POSITION OVERVIEW:Responsible for managing the company's revenue recognition cycle. Exposure to the highest levels of management including CFO, EVP of WW Sales, and EVP of Customer Support. Work directly with Sales Finance, Customer Support, and Legal Department in reviewing and providing sound business and revenue recognition advice regarding contracts being negotiated with customers and will work directly with the resales operations team to improve the Order to Revenue process and maintain effective controls. ATTRACTIONS:Senior position that is highly visible across both operations and finance.Company is a great size poised for growth giving this position the ability to add best practices or other efficiencies to processes that will can take the company through future growth. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:



The successful candidate will have the following characteristics:



Strong oral and written communication skills.



Minimum 4 years public accounting, preferably Big 4.



CPA



Total of 8-15 years relevant experience.



Experience managing and mentoring employees and promoting teamwork.



Proven experience in understanding, implementing and keeping current on technical accounting guidance.



Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels within the organization.



Significant revenue recognition experience required ? SOP 97-2 and related Technical Practice Aids, SAB104 knowledge.?
