Director of Revenue Accounting

This individual will report directly to the VP, Corporate Controller and will be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of revenue accounting and reporting. Will ensure that all the Company?s revenue is recognized in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies. Responsible maintaining, enforcing and educating others on the Company's revenue recognition policy to ensure documentation and consistency are maintained. Work with sales, marketing, finance and legal teams to determine proper accounting treatment of revenue transactions prior to finalization of contract terms. Use analytical skills and findings to make recommendations on process improvements, systems, and reports. Manage the revenue team and take the lead role with revenue team in monthly/quarterly close, revenue reporting, reconciliations and analysis. Prepare global revenue reports to support internal/external reporting requirements. Participate in setting goals and objectives for revenue team. Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance work including Section 404 certification and testing.

Working knowledge and experience with SOP 97-2, 98-9, SAB 101/104 and related technical guidance
Ability to read, analyze and interpret revenue documents and contracts and effectively apply technical accounting guidance for revenue recognition. Requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. CPA certification with excellent knowledge of US GAAP. MBA highly preferred. Ten years in finance and accounting. Five or more years experience with with large company experience. Hands-on experience with ERP and reporting systems and Excel. Experience with revenue cycles and processes
