Distribution Credit Specialist - Consumer Lubes

Shell Oil Products US is currently seeking Distribution Credit Specialist - Consumer Lubes for its Houston, Texas location.

Responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for managing the Consumer Distributor Lubes A/R portfolio and other accounts as assigned with responsibility for annual file revisions of credit lines up to $1 million and for new account credit approvals. You will be responsible for customer financial analysis and for determining and assigning risk levels and needs to appropriately balance risk with business expectations and profitability while maintaining the portfolio within established Global Credit policy requirements. You will function as the primary contact for the business unit on credit issues affecting the Consumer Distributor Lubes portfolio and is responsible for communications with the business on all relationship issues.

Additional Accountabilities:
Managing portfolio to ensure Global Credit Policy standards and SOX requirements are fully met and adhered to
Performing detailed financial analysis of customer financial statements and developing risk profiles of each customer and establish credit limits commensurate with defined risk and within delegated authority level
Negotiating and obtaining acceptable security to support credit extensions above levels supported by financial risk analysis
Managing independent credit limit authority up to $200,000 depending on experience and handling financial approval recommendations to appropriate management levels for credit lines up to $1 million
Monitoring and controlling account exposures within approved credit limits
Monitoring and controlling delinquency according to established guidelines for exposure & risk levels
Reconciling accounts and coordinating resolution of disputes with various internal departments and the customer to ensure timely resolution
Approving/recommending write-offs
Refunding customer credit balances
Acting as primary liaison with the business for all credit related issues affecting portfolio responsibilities

Requirements:

To be considered for this position you must possess Bachelor?s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and have approximately 3 or more years relevant work experience. You will have Credit or Finance related experience involving financial analysis and receivable management.
