RESPONSIBILITIES:

This individual will be responsible for all domestic income tax compliance, planning and financial statement reporting for IGT and Subsidiaries.
Manage the preparation, filing and documentation of the U.S. Federal and State income tax returns, extensions, estimated payments and correspondence.
Supervise, manage, mentor and train professional staff.
Develop systems and procedures to continually improve processes and procedures in the tax department.
Manage and/or assist with domestic income tax audits.
Manage planning related to U.S. Federal and State tax issues; analyze and assess the impact of new tax legislation; provide tax advice on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Advise internal departments regarding tax implications of corporate transactions.
Responsible for domestic aspects of financial statement reporting, including tax provision preparation and FAS 109 reporting and analysis.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act as it relates to domestic tax matters.
Establish and monitor control procedures and evaluate compliance with these procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA required, advanced degree preferred; a minimum of 8 - 10 years federal and state income tax experience with a Big 4 firm and/or industry corporate tax department.
Supervisory or managerial experience required.
A strong understanding of FAS 109 and GAAP required.
Excellent business acumen and communication skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a tight deadline environment.
Must have ability to work effectively with staff and management of business units in a very dynamic environment.
Strong verbal, analytical, accounting and documentation skills required.
Strong PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. Experience in SAP and/or Vantagetax preferred.
A security investigation will be conducted.
