EFT Staff Accountant

Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. is a large grocery retailer with operations in the Southeastern United States and the Bahamas. Job Purpose:

Responsible for reconciliation of EFT general ledger (GL) account balances; preparation of financial account analysis and management reporting; administration of EFT accounts payable, and audits of Reconciliation Specialist functions.

 

Job Duties:

1. Reconcile and monitor EFT general ledger (GL) accounts (grocery and fuel). 

2. Prepare journal entries as required.

3. Analyze and provide accrual journal entries for network and processor fee

  allocations.

4. Responsible for preparing general ledger allocation of network and processor fees to

  locations.

5. Perform financial comparative analyses for EFT GL accounts, including write-off

  accounts.

6. Produce comparative analysis reports for EFT GL accounts.

7. Prepare and analyze department?s Profit & Loss Statement. 

8. Respond to Division Support Database financial accounting inquiries.

9. Execute EFT accounts payable functions: billing verification, GL account coding,

 payment tracking, and resolution of billing discrepancies.

10. Audit EFT Reconciliation Specialist functions.

11. Ensure compliance with Internal Control Review Program (ICRP) in accordance with

Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

12. Ensure compliance with state, federal, contract and operating rules and regulations,

 including cardholder information security standards.

13. Adhere to internal controls

 



 



Experience & Skills Required: 



1. Able to read, write and speak English proficiently.

2. Able to understand and follow English instructions.

3. Minimum 3-5 years financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis experience required.

4. Knowledge of Electronic Fund Transaction (EFT) industry preferred.

5. Ability to interact effectively with multiple levels of internal and external

  associates.

6. Strong organizational and analytical skills.

7. Must work independently and multi-task effectively in order to meet company

  goals.

8. Strong PC skills including working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, Access) products required.

9. Proficiency and experience using PeopleSoft General Ledger and Accounts Payable, N-Vision, Monarch. Others are a plus. 

10. Minimum of 3-5 years of financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis experience.

 

Education Required:

Bachelor?s degree in Accounting required.
