The Houston location of one of the largest oil and gas drilling contractors in the world, located on the North side of town, is searching for a superstar administrative assistant to work directly for the Controller. This is a newly created position, and a great opportunity to work on the inside of an exciting international oil and gas services company! The administrative assistant will be responsible for managing the Controller's calendar, making travel arrangements, and implementing logistical details for the annual worldwide finance meeting. Responsibilities also include administering a document retention policy, maintaining a central filing system, providing support for meetings, scheduling and setting up quarterly finance meetings, administrating follow-up activities via SOX Express to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act, running simple reports, coordinating meeting rooms, typing SEC Filings, preparing expense reports, updating and completing non-financial tracking spreadsheets, coding accounting invoices, and administrating new hires. Qualified candidates will have advanced skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). This is an extremely fast-paced environment. Candidates must be self-motivated, energetic, and able to work independently and with a team. Excellent compensation offered - Salary to $50,000, plus fantastic benefits.
