Our ESM Group is looking for an Engineer.  The candidate for this Engineer position will:Work Designing & Developing J2EE Middleware technology solutions. Work involves work in a team and as individual contributor to research and certify latest/newer WebLogic Platform solutions. Work with other team members to participate in group projects involving design, development and maintenance of WebLogic platform solutions for WASSUPP Group within ESM.Keep abreast of the latest technologies in the WebLogic J2EE areas. Provide internal presentations and training whenever needed to other staff on the projects worked on. Attend internal and company trainings as assigned by Mgmt.Support Business Cluster application teams. This is to perform WASSUPP Support activities on a daily/hourly basis. Work also involves attending meetings with application teams, providied architectural solutions and any support necessary to help ensure the application teams get everything from WASSUPP group on the Middleware (WebLogic and WebServer) platform.Provide oncall Production support for assigned FannieMae J2EE applications. This involves carrying pager 24/7 and be available for any issues that come up 24/7. Provide Tier-2 support for debugging and resolving all types of application issues.Provide J2EE Infrastructure engineering, Development and Support expertise with specific focus in the area of Web and J2EE technologies (on BEA WebLogic platform). Develop policies, procedures, and standards for installing and configuring J2EE middleware, web server, and web-based applications for Fannie Mae's Internet, intranet and extranet environments. Recommend design alternatives that support the business, performance, and security requirements of the proposed solution. Work closely with the application development teams, business users, and other customers to ensure that technology and reliability standards are clearly defined and met in the implementation process.

Degree in Computer Science/Engineering preferred3-5 years of BEA WebLogic experience, Sun One/Apache webserver experience3-5 years of J2EE Administration & Development experience; Java Development, Scripting skills3-5 years of Unix hands-on experience, PC skills, network technologies conceptsAt least 2 years of Project Mgmt, Written and Communication skills2-4 years of WebLogic Administration experience and Production support
