The Sacramento office of VCD is currently seeking a detailed, self-motivated Estimator with 1 to 3 years experience in estimating landscape, irrigation and site development projects.

The Estimator?s key responsibilities include:

- Review specifications and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, and prepare estimate for large scale commercial projects
- Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scopes of work
- Interface with Business Developer to provide and understand clients complete scope of work
- Maintain business relationships with new and existing Subcontractors and Vendors
- Timely and completely perform tasks to meet organizational deadlines
- Knowledge of overall landscape business practices

REQUIREMENTS
Seeking a qualified candidate with the following experience and skills:

- Entry level to 1 year experience
- Previous estimating skills on commercial large-scale projects a plus but not required.
- Strong computer skills and thorough knowledge of estimating techniques
- Ability to multi task with attention to detail
- Work well under deadline pressure and manage projects with little supervision
- Undergraduate degree in landscape, engineering or construction management a plus
