We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced:
Staff Accountant
to be based in our corporate office in Coppell, Texas. We are conveniently located off LBJ Freeway (635 & Royal Lane) near Grapevine Mills Mall and DFW Airport.



Position Overview:
This position will support the accounting functions for Awesome Financial Services. The Staff Accountant reports to the General Accounting Manager and interacts daily with our distribution centers and restaurant operations teams. Qualified candidates need a ?striving for perfection? passion, an urgency in achieving results, the ability to identify and implement process improvement and proactive IT-based problem solving. Results-oriented bonuses are earned quarterly.

Responsibilities:
Awesome Financial Services seeks a sharp staff accountant to perform the following duties:
? Audit sales and expenses to compile weekly income statements for corporate-owned restaurants
? Reconcile, analyze and research inventory cost and quantity variances
? Reconcile various balance sheet accounts and maintain monthly supporting schedules for prepaid assets, fixed assets, miscellaneous accounts receivables, accrued expenses, intercompany accounts, royalties and other balance sheet accounts as needed
? Record monthly journal entries as required
? Serve as liaison between Awesome Financial Services and various operational departments
? Perform variance analysis and prepare management reports as required
? Assist with special projects
? Identify and implement cost savings opportunities and process improvement

Requirements:
? Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
? Intermediate PC Skills: Windows, Excel, Access, Word and Lotus Notes
? Knowledge of and interest in technology solutions
? JDE experience a plus
? Excellent analytical skills
? Ability to prepare/analyze financial reports, policies and procedures
? Ability to work under deadlines, exercise good judgment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously and independently
? Must be able to interact well with employees at all levels within the company and external contacts
