FT Senior Accountant

The Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union, one of New York's largest Credit Unions, is looking for a Senior Accountant.

The successful candidate will perform advanced accounting functions, including preparation of monthly financial reports, analyses and reconciliations. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining the accounting system for the wholly-owned subsidiary, including financial report preparation, accounts payable and general ledger reconciliation. Serves as back-up to and assists Accounting Manager in the daily management of the Accounting Department.

Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience in Accounting filed required, preferably in a financial institution. Previous experience with monthly/quarterly/annual financial statement preparation required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Flexibility to work additional hours including evenings and Saturdays, as needed, is required.
