Fast Track Controller Opportunity

Food Management for quality, service and economy.  To support Opaa?s future growth, we are building our management team to include a Controller.  This new and exciting position reports directly to the COO and includes the following responsibilities:

 

? Direct all accounting and financial functions of the company including the budget, financial reporting, financial controls, and policy development and compliance.

? Manage cash flow requirements.

? Oversee information technology function.

? Work closely with human resources and purchasing, assisting in the development of policies and strategic decision-making.

? Hire, train and retain a competent accounting staff, directly/indirectly managing a team of seven.

 

Qualifications include:

? 5+ years experience in financial management as a controller or similar position. Retail or food service experience is a plus.

? BS degree in accounting/finance.  A CPA and/or MBA preferred.

? Must be skilled in financial analysis, preparation of statements, and reporting.

? Strong leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to build, manage and motivate a team.

? Must have an understanding of information technology and business information systems. 

? Superior written and verbal communication skills.  Must be comfortable giving presentations to company leadership. 

? Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. 

? Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.

? Self-starter with solid business skills and the ability to understand the ?big picture?.

? Ability to travel as necessary.

? Strong PC skills with proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and accounting software.
