Job Description: BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest business consulting and systems integration firms dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations.
BearingPoint's Science Financial and Research Sector is currently searching for a mid level federal accountant to support an exciting government project in Alexandria Virginia.
Preference will be given to candidates local to the Washington DC metro.
Description:
Accountant with federal accounting or federal operations experience
ERP (core financial) Accounting system implementation and operations experience with expertise of core financial system module/s
5+ years accounting/financial management experience, CPA a plus.
Understanding of federal financial management and accounting regulatory operating environment.
Understanding of types of federal Budgetary authority a plus.
Understanding of JFMIP requirements
Motivated, detail oriented individual who is really interested in federal operations, financial management and accounting.
Has leadership skills and is a self starter who seeks information for him/herself from whatever resources are available
This person wants to be involved in the detail as a Subject Matter Expert and is willing to roll up his/her sleeves to get the job done.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities:
Play a key role on federal ERP implementations/maintenance as a Subject Matter Expert in the areas of federal accounting/budgeting and core financial system modules.
Support federal proposal efforts related to ERP implementations.
Education:
Accounting degree (4/5 year program) or
Business Management Degree concentrating in Information Technology and/or Accounting/Financial Management
