Financial Accountant/Analyst

Access Administrators, Inc is a Third Party Claims Administrator and a Utilization Review Agent duly licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance providing administration and utilization management services for employee health benefit programs. Access provides access to health care services for nearly 60,000 employees and family members in the El Paso Community. Access processes approximately 10,000 claims per week and manages approximately $200 million in gross claims per year.



Scope of Service: We provide health plan design and administration, claims management and processing, data and report management, quality assurance, customer service, reinsurance strategies, coordination of benefits, subrogation services, and auditing. As a utilization review agent we provide our clients with utilization management services including pre-certifications, pre-authorizations, utilization review, large case management, quality management, and coordination of care for members and their families.


We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Financial Accountant/Analyst.?

The Financial ?Accountant /Analyst will prepare?all internal and external? financial reports by assembling and analyzing data utilizing the MAS 90 system.? Will also monitor financial performance by comparing actual versus budgeted performance and determining underlying causes and implements cash strategies and maintains general ledger entries, reconciling accounts and enhancing systems.? Responsible for processing the payroll utilizing the ADP system.?

Essential Functions of the Job:

Develop, support and analyze financial statements?and monitors cash flow,?Maintain general ledger entries, reconciling accounts,?Processes payroll and creates/enhances systems??

Prepare and file internal and external (SEC) and other?regulatory financial reports such as 10K, 10Q, etc.?on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis,Maintain support documentation and maintenance of internal?control documentation and reporting under SEC guidelines.?Prepare annual budgets, including line of?business and departmental budgets.? Evaluate, monitor and

report periodic results to senior management,?Assist in coordination of annual audits and various special?projects,?Maintain professional and technical knowledge on SEC,?GAAP and other related requirements???

Requirements:

College degree required - Bachelor's in Business Administration in Accounting or related field

Masters a plus

Must have 3 to 5 years financial experience in accounting/financial analysis and reporting

Effective analytical and problem solving skills

Demonstrated communication, organization and interpersonal skills

Effective process orientation and personal computer skills to support development of financial and analytical models and reporting results using packaged software and other reporting tools

Proficient budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning

Ability to work well in a teaming/collaborative environment

Ability to manage a large workload and adapt to re-prioritization as necessary??????????

Preferred Experience in Financial Software MAS90/200, or comparable??

CPA Certification a plus
