Financial Analyst

Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. is a large grocery retailer with operations in the Southeastern United States and the Bahamas. Founded in 1925, the company is headquartered in Jacksonville, FL and operates approximately 600 stores. Job Purpose:

The financial analyst will be responsible for preparation of accurate and timely Executive Reporting projects and for assisting in the analysis of G&A budgets. This position will also provide analysis of operating statements, key financial indicators and overall financial performance of the company so that Sr. Management can make well-informed decisions.  Such information will be provided directly to senior management.  Good communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and operate effectively are important. 

 

Experience, Duties & Skills Required:  Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide good support for conclusions.Experience evaluating complex financial problems and models.Use latest statistical and financial models to forecast financial results.Leadership skills including facilitating and influencing in discussions with senior management.Problem solving skills including brainstorming and innovation to develop better ways of executing processes.Provide high quality, accurate, timely analyses.Self-starter who can work well independently.Flexibility and can adapt quickly to a changing environment.Strong PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and People Soft.Able to communicate complex and detailed information to Sr. management.Able to handle multiple tasks, organizes, and coordinates activities effectively in complex situations with tight deadlines.Ability to read, write and speak EnglishMinimum two years work experience in financial planning and analysis or accounting.Industry experience in financial analysis preferred

 

Education Required:

BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
