Financial Analyst

Compiles and analyzes financial information including preparation of budgets and forecasts.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

?  Develops budgets and tracks business unit performance

  against budgets

?  Performs cost accounting analysis for application

environments supporting the Managed Services business

  unit

?  Develops business cases in support of capital expenditures

    and customer revenue  generating initiatives

?  Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending, and

 results analysis

?  Compiles and analyzes financial information from all

  business units and develops robust integrated revenue and 

 expense analyses, projections, and reports

?  Coordinates, compiles and analyzes financial statements

  for business units and for Company as a whole

?  Under limited supervision, estimates and plans own work

?  Accounting responsibilities related to complex services

    billing and revenue accounting, general ledger account 

    analysis, reconciliation and journal entry preparation

 

QUALIFICATIONS

?  Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  and 3 to 6 years experience in financial analysis in the

    software development/high-tech industry; or equivalent

  combination of education and experience

 

SKILLS

?  Analytical and problem solving skills

?  Broad knowledge of accounting and finance principles,

  practices, and procedures

?  Computer skills including MS Office (Word & strong Excel

  skills) and accounting software (preferably Solomon)

?  Written and oral communication skills

?  MBA or CPA candidate preferred but not required

?  Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely

?  Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and

  accomplish goals and tasks; requires guidance only on

  unusual issues

?  Ability to work independently on projects/assignments
