Financial Analyst/Business Analyst III - Automotive Product Management

Our formal name is the California State Automobile Association (CSAA), and we are the AAA Member organization for Northern California, Nevada and Utah.  CSAA is the second largest AAA club, servicing nearly 4 million Members throughout our territory. 

 

We have an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst/Business Analyst III position in our Automotive Product Management Department.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the co-ordination and development of Automotive Product Management Business Plan and annual budget preparation. Conducts special rate studies, audits and surveys, statistical and operational studies, competitive pricing models, prepares written reports and presentations for senior management, and makes recommendations on areas that need improvement. Builds financial models and operational plans in support of Automotive Product Management growth and expansion. Provides recommendations to department and executive management on efficiency and cost effectiveness of the division. Acts as project manager for new projects.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires five to seven years of related work experience, specifically in financial accounting, budget analysis and some direct experience and familiarity with CSAA business operations. General knowledge of Automotive Product Management policies and procedures. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, concepts and accounting methods. Working knowledge and familiarity with the on-line general ledger system used by CSAA. Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word, statistical reporting, spreadsheet analysis, and report writing. Strong mathematical skills needed for budget preparation, costing, financial and reconciliation duties. Strong analytical and organizational skills needed to effectively identify problems and develop appropriate solutions. Strong organizational and project management skills needed to ensure adherence to deadlines and to see projects and tasks to completion. Excellent business writing skills needed to prepare reports and recommendations. Must have command of the English language and must be able to express oneself effectively verbally, in writing, in person, in formal presentations and over the telephone

 

BA/BS degree in Statistics or Mathematics required.
