Financial Analyst - Electronics Industry

Job Description: GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Responsible for developing, maintaining and providing financial information for financial planning and control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TYPICAL FOR MOST POSITIONS:
1.Conducts special studies to analyze financial actions and prepares recommendations for policy, procedure, control or action.
2.Develops partnership with Business Unit Manager to consistently improve profit and loss performance.
3.Provides interpretation of financial policies, accounting theory or customer financial regulations.
4.Analyzes financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
5.Identifies trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
6.Evaluates profit plans, operating records and financial statements.
7.Directs preparation of studies, reports and analyses in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections and business forecasts.
8.Interprets and applies corporate financial policies and accounting theory.
9.Establishes databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.
10.Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
11.Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, trended future requirements and operating forecasts.
12.Researches and prepares financial reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities and investment performance.
13.Assists organization's management team in the development of the budget, planning and other corporate financial requirements.
14.Executes multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing and adjusting workload as needed to meet deadlines.

Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience and training. Typically requires a minimum of 6 years related experience. MBA preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
To perform the major job responsibilities the use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, Finance related and office software to include, word processing, spread sheets, and presentation packages. Good communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrates advanced/thorough knowledge of the function and Solectron business. Demonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding of Solectron's functional standards. Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site. Demonstrates advanced experience and skills associated with performing assigned Finance functions that are of a diverse nature.
