Financial Analyst Manager

Job Description: Manages a staff of three senior financial analysts in all areas of the quarterly forecast.

Create and maintain forecast models for key line items at a business, industry and merchant level. Explain variances to plan and prior period. Assist in the development of models which allow for monthly reforecast of expected business unit results. Respond to requests and inquiries from senior management and business managers to prepare analysis and metrics. Provide regular analysis and reports as well as analysis to support specific inquiries. Responsible for tie out of reports prior to submission. Also responsible for tying out corporate business unit reports to the detailed income statement and balance sheet.



Responsible for tie out of legal entity level reporting. Coordinate quarterly package for presentation at forecast meetings. Assemble and sign-off on final management forecast package for distribution to business unit senior management team. Participate in special projects to review process for accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls. Ensure staff are challenged and utilized in the most efficient manner possible. Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Experience:

Bachelors degree in Accounting. CPA designation and/or MBA preferred

At least 8 years of proven and progressive accounting and reporting experience

Must be a self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills

Possess an aptitude for utilizing technology to achieve objectives

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Knowledge of PeopleSoft general ledger and/or TM1 is a plus

Knowledge of, or experience in, the credit card industry is a plus
