Financial Analyst - Risk Management

We are looking for a Financial Analyst who provides expense management, financial analysis and budgeting support for Risk Management.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Oversees the monthly reconciliation of all Risk accounts and uploads for workers? compensation and general insurance store charges.

Reviews monthly P &L and General Ledger for accuracy.

Creates and distributes WC Projection, P & L Review and department expense reports.

Completes monthly forecast and variance reports.

Completes and documents the quarterly ultimate calculations.

Completes the quarterly liability pay down schedule for WC and GL.

Analyzes accrual account balances and completes quarterly Accounting Report.

Assists in the development, documentation and review of department financial standards and procedures.

Manages allocation process.

Manages the banking relationship and ensures timely completion of the reconciliation and positive pay processes.

Assists Accounting with review of the pre-paid insurance accounts.

Develops projection spreadsheets to analyze expenses and staffing levels.

Completes the annual Cost of Risk by May 1.

Develops, revises and completes budgeting reports and spreadsheets.

Assists in the analysis and development of the 3 year plan and budget projections.

Documents budgeting progress for both correspondence and financial changes.

Communicates with key individuals to obtain projected financial and exposure data.

Reviews exposure data (hours, payroll, sales, square footage) from system import for accuracy

Coordinates actuarial studies, manages the collection of the required data and reviews completed studies.

Develops management tools to communicate financial performance and trends.

Assists with audit compliance and documentation.

Miscellaneous projects as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Proficient in use of Word, Excel, Outlook, Essbase, Infopac, Oracle Financials and Markview.

Technical Knowledge: Stays current on company processes.

BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Math is preferred
