Financial Analyst/ Sox Auditor

Job Responsibilities include:

~ Perform audits
~ Execute test of controls and transactions as well as data analysis
~ Participate in and lead designated portions of company's SOX section 404 compliance project
~ Think methodically to grasp and discuss complex issues, organize projects independently
~ Prepare standardized audit work-papers, draft reports
~ Help develop improvement recommendations for management consideration

Ideal candidates will possess:

~ BA/ BS degree in Accounting, Insurance, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field.
~ Work experience, related internships, and/ or college coursework in internal and external auditing, accounting and financial reporting, insurance, actuarial or closely related financial service operations highly desired.
~ Sarbanes-Oxley experience preferred
~ General understanding of business processes and internal controls in the insurance industry.
~ Knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP, IFRS, statutory accounting)
~ Analytical thinking an abilitiy to apply auditing and accounting knowledge to daily work assignments.
~ Strong written and verbal communication skills
~ Strong attention to detail
~ Experience in audit software, such as TeamMate preferred
