Night Vision Systems (NVS), a division of DRS Technologies, Inc., with facilities in Allentown, PA and Prescott Valley, AZ, is a recognized leader in innovative products, rapid delivery methods, and customer solutions. We develop products that provide a technological advantage for security applications and combat operations. NVS has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst in our Allentown, PA office.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Assistant Controller, performing financial analysis activities pertaining to budgets and forecasting for our Arizona and Pennsylvania facilities and ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed consistently.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and analyze budget variance reports; examine and review accounting data to determine nature of actual costs expenditures.
Act as liaison with department managers to answer budget and expense questions.
Obtain or prepare regular updates of budget information.
Prepare FCF and financial statement forecasts
Work with Sr. Accountant to prepare various tax packages.
Run reports and perform reconciliations for period-end closings.
Establish and maintain systems and controls as necessary.
Perform other duties as requested or required.

Skills and Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst, performing duties described above.
Education to a degree level in accounting/finance, or equivalent experience.
Thorough knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
Experience working with budgeting and forecasting.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to partner with internal customers.
Strong technical ability in accounting software.
Ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
Must be a team player.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus.
