Financial Business Unit Analyst

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include working to:
- Provide operating and financial analysis including product line profitability and pricing

- Participate in the analysis and due diligence process related to potential acquisition candidates

- Facilitate and coordinate the assimilation process related to acquired companies

- Participate in closing process to assess/recommend appropriate accruals

- Analyze operating variances and material variances

- Assist in the collection, reporting and analysis of key operating metrics for the plant

- Develop annual budget, periodic financial forecasts and related presentations

- Perform credit analysis, recommend credit terms and assist with collection of past due accounts

- Assist in the development of costing data and standard cost updates

- Participate in and help coordinate physical inventories

 

Ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum of four year degree in Business Administration or Accounting

- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience

- Previous experience with financial/cost analysis

- Previous experience with acquisition analysis and integration
- Solid understanding of Accounting principles and terminology

- Solid understanding of financial statements, statement analysis and forecasting
- Experience with manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Power Point and accounting systems is required

 

Reporting relationship

-  Position reports to the Vice President, Finance 

-  Position has strong dotted line responsibility to the Plant Manager
