Financial Close Consultant

The BearingPoint World Class Finance team is currently searching for a Financial Close Consultant.
The WCF team provides clients with a suite of solutions that address risk mitigation, cost containment and service complexity. Our solutions are supported by best practices in the finance function within the context of specific industry drivers.

Financial Close Skills
- 3 + years experience in corporate Controller’s or Financial Consolidation organization for a global company.
- Experience identifying close process weakness, and recommendations for close process improvement
- Development of Accounting Policies and Procedures around financial close and consolidation activities.
- Subject matter expertise in one of the basic finance areas - e.g. GL,AP, AR, Inventory.
- Financial statement preparation - GAAP reporting requirements, SEC filings.
- Experience with Sarbanes Oxley and implication on financial close processes and technology.
- Experience with at least one full implementation lifecycle of a Financial Consolidation Solution.

General World Class Finance Skills
-Understanding of finance & accounting processes in large multinational organizations.

- Understanding of common project management techniques: scoping, project planning, resource management, contract financial management, Systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Understanding of common change management techniques and principles (Communication strategies, stakeholder analysis, training needs analysis)
- Process flow charting, workshop facilitation. Experience with process improvement methodologies e.g. Six Sigma, ACE, Lean Process, TQM, ISO, BSC
