Financial Controller

My Client Company, a leading automotive supplier located near Nashville, in Southern Middle Tennessee, has an immediate need for an experienced Financial Controller.  A qualified candidate should have 5 plus years of manufacturing related experience with proven skills in financial statement preparation, financial analysis and management reporting.  This position reports to the Plant Manager with dotted line reporting to the Corporate Controller.  Experience in an automotive supplier environment is a plus. 

 

Specific Responsibilities include:

q  Overseeing all areas of plant cost accounting.

q  Monthly/Annual closing and reporting

q  Supervision of clerical staff

q  Exhibit leadership qualities commensurate with the position and be prepared to refine and implement new process and procedures when necessary.

q  Ensure operational profitability of all new product/business ventures by participating on the front end of development.

q  Provide functional input and participate in the steering committee for the implementation of new systems, including relevant process redesign to support the goals and objectives of the business.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

q  Candidate will possess 5+ years of progressive financial management responsibility in a manufacturing environment.  Will consider senior accounting candidates that have not held the Controller title but have supervisory experience.

q  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent is required.

q  Candidate should be experienced with a fully integrated accounting system and Microsoft Office products.

 

COMPENSATION: to $75k. 

 

**The company would prefer local candidates and as such will not pay relocation.  They will consider candidates who are in a position to relocate themselves.
