Financial Manager

 

This position reports to the CFO and is actively involved with the company Controller.  The primary functions of the position are to manage and analyze management and financial reports that are essential to the effective management of the business. In addition, the Financial Manager is the point person for a wide variety of meaningful inter- and intra-departmental projects to improve the efficiency and profitability of the company.

 

Job Description

 

?  Develops, maintains and analyzes internal reports

?  Coordinates the flow of internal financial information and communication

?  Assists with month end financial closing and account analysis

?  Manages a wide range of special projects including process improvements, expense tracking and analysis and cost savings analysis

?  Assists with annual audit and annual budget preparation

?  Backs up key accounting functions and personnel

?  Based in Berkeley with frequent travel between the Berkeley headquarters and the distribution facility south of San Jose.

 

Requirements

 

?  5 years experience in business or public accounting

?  College Degree in Business or Accounting

?  Experience with ERP system and report writing programs

?  Excellent communications and analytical skills

?  High energy (input from Shelley)

?  Frequent travel between company headquarters in Berkeley and the company distribution facility located south of San Jose.
