R&D Finance Specialist Position

Job Description: 

Develop an understanding of the NED business drivers and development process 

 

Coordinate with management to ensure financial processes support division strategic goals. In this capacity, drive/support budget, monthly opex/headcount forecasts including detailed spending plans. Highlight budget issues, unusual relationships or trends and identify expected deviations from budget. Support cost reduction initiatives and leverage opportunities in R&D.  Support project reporting/analysis as needed. This position interfaces and will give presentations to senior management as well as the finance community. Successful candidates will possess strong financial and analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas at the executive level.

 

Provide business support for high priority/strategic initiatives such as the new product introduction process, and R&D portfolio investment strategy.

 

Drive productivity/efficiency in finance process and leverage where appropriate. Drive improvement in annual planning process based on business/process feedback.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business/finance degree, with 2 plus years experience

MBA  preferred

Leadership and organization skills

Superior written and oral communication skills

Project management and project accounting skills a plus

Preferred location is Cupertino
