Foreclosure Auditor

Job Description: Review audits of all foreclosure and bankruptcy files submitted. Analyze the collection cycle to ensure best practices are employed and all factors in the foreclosure and bankruptcy process have been appropriately weighed. Identify high risk transactions and concur with the foreclosure or bankruptcy recommendations or vetoes the action. Complete input of results into departmental database and alert management of concerning trends.



Recommend special training for foreclosure and bankruptcy specialists on any corrective measures to process the foreclosure cycle as necessary. Recommend policy changes in affected areas reviewed based on observed issues.



Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with Company and regulatory standards, policies and practices; report control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events. Complete other related duties as assigned, support the Company’s Diversity programs.

Job Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Minimum of three years experience in mortgage servicing, specifically Default, Foreclosure and/or Bankruptcy

Strong assessment and judgment skills

Ability to understand and be proficient in all Mortgage Services technical systems to research extensive customer facts and history

Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
