Fund Accounting

Our client, a growing and diversified financial services company is looking to hire talented individuals to fill their Fund Accounting positions. 

 

Primary responsibilities will include:Determine daily fund value for assigned funds including verification of pricing within a required time frame for reporting to fund reporting services, shareholder accounting department, and fund sponsors. Provide daily general ledger accounting for assigned funds in compliance with SEC regulations and generally accepted accounting principles. Interact with and assist independent outside auditors during their annual examinations. Ensure accuracy of fund valuation and fund accounting activities on assigned accounts to minimize contingent liability to company. Make immediate decisions regarding processing priorities and accuracy of daily valuation activities.Work with independent auditors providing necessary information for the audit. Complete all reconciliations for all assigned funds.Perform other assignments as requested.

 

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting requiredExcellent oral and written communication skills to interact with fund sponsors, auditors, other departments. Good problem solving, analytical, organizational and follow through skills for purposes of completing funds in an effective and timely manner to eliminate or reduce the potential for loss and/or negative client reactions. Good knowledge of PC and calculator operations; working knowledge of Lotus, DOS, and Windows.
