INTERNAL CONTROLS CONSULTANT - SARBANES OXLEY EXPERIENCE A PLUS

POSITION SUMMARY

Grant Thornton's Global Public Sector, based in Alexandria, VA, is a global management consulting business with the mission of providing responsive and innovative financial, performance management and systems solutions to governments and international organizations.

The Internal Controls Consultant will provide internal controls consulting and related services to government clients and works closely with our clients in a consultative capacity to help them solve their problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
-The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze financial data and operational activities, document findings, develop conclusions, and make recommendations for improvement for internal controls projects.
-Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
-Perform other job-related duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related field. CPA a plus.
-Federal government financial management experience (working or consulting) is preferred.
-A background in internal controls or Sarbanes Oxley is a plus.
-Flexibility to commute to work locations in the DC Metro area up to Baltimore, Maryland.
-US citizenship required.
-Ability to work additional hours as needed.
