This is a unique opportunity for a General Ledger Analyst, ideally with a background in the healthcare industry, to grow with a highly evolved and well-established industry leader. 

 

Ideal candidate must have excellent analytical, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to solicit opinions of others, mentor team members, foster cross communication (feedback) and show flexibility in style of communication. 

 

Responsibilities include:

 

?  Prepare journal entries for month end close.

?  Receive, review and import financial data from field locations.

?  Perform analysis of monthly financial data for accuracy and completeness. 

?  Prepare and distribute the monthly financial statements to the field, internal personal banks and board members.

?  Perform special projects, analysis, research ect. for internal and field personnel as required.

?  Perform account reconciliations and roll forwards as required.

?  Maintain detail sub-ledgers for various accounts.

?  Provide accounting support for other departments and field personnel.

?  Prepare schedules; provide documentation and answer questions related to the financial statement audits and other government audits.

?  Provide documentation and file necessary monthly, quarterly, and annual government reports and surveys on a timely basis.

?  Maintain an understanding of all other systems, which interface with the accounting program.

 

Qualifications include: 

?  Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or any other related field. 

?  Minimum of two years in the healthcare industry.

?  Working knowledge of word processing (MS Word) and spreadsheet (MS Excel).
