SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Global Finance Leader to be located in Denver, CO. This position will be responsible for supporting the profitable growth of the Construction Materials and Systems (CMS) business and optimal use of global CMS assets. In concert with the Vice President Finance- Engineered Products Group (EPG), this position acts as a primary business and financial advisor to the CMS business leaders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Develop and implement operating and strategic plans with the CMS business team to maximize profitable growth opportunities.

Utilize financial analysis ability combined with market knowledge to make capital investment decisions in a competitive global environment.

Monthly reporting of business trends (pricing, volume, contribution margin, product mix, top customers, spending analysis).

Track all major initiatives to ensure that projects remain within budget and cost targets. Develop and implement corrective actions and strategies as required.

Manage R&D spending to align new product development with market demand, asset capability, and capital investments.

Develop understanding of global EPG manufacturing capabilities and demand to optimize profitability.

Ability to work with all levels of management and all functional areas to facilitate business decisions.

Manage inventory requirements via SIOP and forecasting process

Recruit, hire, manage, develop and mentor subordinate staff to meet current and projected staffing needs.

Develop and/or improve accounting processes and controls

Act as a member of the JM finance team and participate in setting direction.

Champion and lead high performance cross-functional teams for major projects or process improvements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


MBA is a strong plus

Minimum of 5 years of experience with increasing responsibilities in Accounting/Finance

Strong manufacturing process background within a medium/large manufacturing organization producing commercial product.

Black/Green Belt certification would be a plus.

Experience with international operations, processes and systems a strong plus.

Understanding of the global marketplace (market demand and competitor production capabilities) and effect on regional markets.

Ability to use industry and market data to drive strategies with Business Leaders

Strong analytical ability combined with understanding of costing and pricing implications on competitiveness on a global scale. Ability to understand foreign currency fluctuations and effect on global marketplace.

Ability to work in a team environment to achieve desired results. Prior successful project management experience involving interdisciplinary teams is required.

Strong communication skills

Strong leadership skills-ability to provide direction and recommendations to business as well as develop people.
