IT Internal Controls Analyst - Mountain View

This position is based in Mountain View.

Google is looking for an experienced, systems savvy professional with a strong background in IT systems audit, preferably with the Big 4 audit firms. Our ideal candidate has a strong grasp of IT controls and their relationship to financial control objectives. Experience with implementing/evaluating controls related to Sarbanes Oxley legislation or a strong understanding of COBIT and COSO standards and framework is highly desirable. In addition, our ideal candidate should be comfortable analyzing and understanding complex, non- standard systems, and providing IT controls recommendations with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities: Aid in the Sarbanes Oxley controls evaluation as it relates to the internal systems and control environment. Help document processes and related controls. Test, evaluate and remediate processes surrounding financial controls, internal systems and applications, IT infrastructure and policies and procedures.
Work with management and users to make recommendations to optimize and control Google systems and processes.
Coordinate and organize internal control analysis projects. Well-qualified candidates will demonstrate a history of identifying, scoping, and executing on controls-related projects.
Work in cross-functional teams (engineering, product management, sales operations, and finance) to help create integrated system requirements and provide IT controls expertise.
Champion process re-engineering by challenging the status quo of current processes and suggesting improvements or alternatives.Requirements: Bachelor?s degree, or equivalent, in Management Information Systems or Computer Science.
CISA / CISSP or related experience is highly preferred.
Minimum 2 years experience in IT Systems Audit with a Big 4 audit firm or equivalent experience within the past 5 years a must.
Strong project management and prioritization skills. Must have the ability to multi-task on varying projects and initiatives.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work with a wide variety of departments.
Displays strong leadership skills (the ability to take charge, the confidence to interact with all levels of management, sets objectives, drive results, be a team player, and has a friendly personality).
Ability to work in a fast moving environment and tolerate ambiguity.
