International Tax Manager - Mountain View

This position is based in Mountain View.

Responsibilities:

Liaison with business partners with respect to international tax issues and develop and implement company-wide international planning initiatives.
Lead and coordinate the international tax function and international tax strategies with outside tax advisors.
Manage VAT issues and ensure compliance in all jurisdictions outside the U.S.
Assist Google?s business development team on tax issues associated with international acquisitions.
Responsible for international portions of quarterly and annual FAS 109 process.
Develop and implement global transfer pricing strategy and policies.
Assist legal team in handling all tax issues related to the incorporation of Google?s international legal entities.
Manage and coordinate all Google?s international tax audits.
Assist Google?s compliance team with any international tax issues involved in the preparation of Google?s income tax returns.

Requirements:

Prefer a candidate with either a Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting/Business or a law degree.
Minimum of eight years of corporate tax experience and three years of international experience working in a public accounting firm, law firm, or a corporate tax department.
CPA certification or LLM in taxation a plus.
Ability to communicate technical tax issues clearly to non-tax people and work effectively with all levels of internal process owners and external advisors.
Possesses extensive knowledge of Federal income tax rules relating to international transactions.
Should be generally familiar with local direct and indirect tax rules in countries outside the U.S.
Has the ability to retain a sense of humor in stressful situations.
