Great Opportunity for experienced Cost Accountant

My client is in search of a strong Cost Accountant to Report to the Division Controller.The Cost Accountant will be involved with all areas of accounting and the operational side of the business.  This position will function as the primary support for the Division Controller and be a key point of contact between finance and other divisions within the organization.



Responsibilities:
Prepare, update and maintain actual, preliminary and forecast revenue including Sales Order System.
Maintain and reconcile schedules for all maintenance contract and billings.
Prepare and input actual, forecast and budget figures for internal and corporate reporting.
Prepare and maintain various reports for Division Controller, Senior Management and headquarters.
Perform revenue analysis report by business field (trends, statistics).
Preparation and distribution of various budget and related reports for departments and divisions throughout the organization.
Reconcile all revenue and contract accounts and schedules.
Assist department managers with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
Provide support as a financial representative to various departments within the organization.
Review revenue for revenue recognition validity.
Assist finance department  in the preparation of charts and slides for presentations.
Research, compile and track industry performance for top competitors.
Assist with gathering information and preparing customer credit profiles.
Maintain statistics on key economic indicators.
Other special projects as required.

Education & Experience:

The individual should posses excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with managers within the division.  This individual must be well organized, accurate, have the ability to multi-task, and be a team player.  Some limited travel may be required. This individual must posses excellent computer skills and has the ability to work with multiple accounting and ERP software packages.

BA/BS in Finance/Accounting with 5+ years experience.  Salary 55k - 60K base on experience.
